Scenic Sunday: International World Parks Day 2009



We in Auckland are very lucky. every where we go, there are parks. Yesterday we celebrated this day with a free picnic at Cornwall Park. This event honours the Scotish Heritage of Sir Logan Campbell, who gifted Cornwall park to the people of New Zealand more than 100 years ago.

There are many of these kiosks in the park. If you look careful, there is a rooster at the legs of the woman with her lap top. I wasn't sure if it is her pet or one of the ferrals one in the park.

I am also very interested to see these BBQs with free gas. My mum would have been very pleasantly surprised. When she first went to Australia, there were machines that dispensed free hot water. Mum couldn't believe her eyes
