A scam website has popped up and looks identical to the official Immigration New Zealand website.
Immigration
New Zealand (INZ) has urged customers to take special care that they
are using the correct site since they were made aware of the scam.
The website that has a slight change in the domain name appears to be the same website as the official one.
Customers are directed to the fake website and asked to enter personal details that is part of a phishing scam.
The
real website has the following link - www.immigration.govt.nz - whereas
the scam website replaces a full stop with a dash and is
www.immigration-govt.nz.
The phishing scam can trick people into handing over personal details including passport details.
INZ said in a statement it was investigating steps it can take to have the site removed.
Meanwhile, INZ has also been notified of an increase in scam phone calls to mainly Indian nationals living in New Zealand.
These
callers tell the person that there has been a problem with their visa
or arrival card information and demand that they pay money into a
Western Union account or face serious consequences, such as deportation.
Calls have been made using numbers showing as the Immigration Contact Centre (09 914 4100) but with a slight number variation.
On Tuesday, we were stuck in a traffic for more than one hour, bumper to
bumper. It was go and stop, go and stop, go and stop. A test of our patience.
To our left is a bus only lane. Most of the time it is not used,
except the occasional bus zooming past. Then we saw cars zooming past
as well. Makes me wonder why law abiding citizens should be stuck in
the traffic.
My son suggested we use the bus lane too. I didn't want to be stopped by the traffic police.
The jungle is has been fell for hard tropical timber and replaced by oil palm.

The Heart of Borneo is a conservation agreement initiated by the World Wide Fund for Nature to protect a 220,000 km² forested region on Borneo island that is known as Asia's last great rainforest. The agreement has been signed by the governments ofBrunei, Indonesia and Malaysia in Bali on 12 February 2007 to support the initiative.[1] The region provides habitat to 10 endemic species of primate, more than 350 birds, 150 reptiles and amphibians and 10,000 plants. From 2007 to 2010 a total of 123 new species have been recorded in the region.[2] With Borneo rhinoceros was the most threatened conservative fauna with prediction less than 25 individuals remaining.[3] A status report from 2012 found that the lowland rain forest within the area is deteriorating and under threat.[4]
This is from my second daughter, as most of you live overseas, I am
posting this for you to be aware of VSA, Volunteers Services Abroad. It
is similar to the Peace corp that we were exposed to from USA.
What shall I say about my daughter Gabrielle? Even when she was in
primary school, she was very aware of social issues. She volunteered in
the Singapore Zoo.The first time she went, they gave her the worst job.
Yet she persisted in going.
How should I feel when my daughter gives up a very cushy lawyer's job to
become a volunteer in a remote pacific island? I trained her to have
social consciousnesses. She had been to and helped me with my charity
work. Now I just have to give my blessing and pray nothing bad will
happen.
As a mum, am I happy for her to go? That's her calling, and I am proud of her.
Ladies

when he was putting an albun for our pastor, she said she didn't see my
photo, because I was always behind the camera.
A lot of time is involved in producing the magazine. There were meetings and email correspondence. Here is our new Pastor, Steve Worsley.
I wrote the Interview with Prinka.
There is an article about our recipe book to raise funds for Thailand. I had some recipes in it.
Just hot off the press, my church magazine has been dropped in the neighbourhood letter boxes. I must have dropped about 200 copies. It was more tiring in the head than on my legs. Many of the letter boxes have a sticker, "no junk mail." I was afraid householders will tell me off."
