Watery Wednesday: Ruakuri River

http://waterywednesday.blogspot.com/

In the limestone Ruakuri Caves in Waitomo, the Ruakuri river flows subterranean as well as above ground. There are cascades of water, the bush trek is very interesting. In the subterranean tunnels where the river flows, this is where they do the black water rafting. I did this ten years ago.

Looks like a cool spot on a summer's day. The black water rafting looks very exciting.

Black water rafting on an underground river? Sounds scary! But it's a really pretty scene above ground.

Happy WW!

I've never heard of black water rafting only white water rafting. It sounds interesting.
