Gum boots or wellington boots, they keep your feet dry. In New Zealand, they play a toss a gum boot game. In the past, gum boots were black. Then they came out with children's colourful ones. Now, gum boots come in various colours and patterns.

The kids went to a muddy mangrove swamp. Some were sensible and wore gum boots.I wore my brown trekking shoes.
