I remember in my marketing lectures at university that the laggard will miss out. Yesterday was our first official day of winter, but winter came a month ago. We have been having a blusterly cold weather.
Yesterday, I went to my very neglected garden and found this monarch butterfly sheltering in my over turned bucket. I wonder if it hatched too late, and can't find the rest of them.
Reminds me of the song I used to teach my students,
Butterfly, my butterfly, wait for me, don't fly away by Jim Ed Brown.
