Photohunt : New :Cuckatoo, Oh Cuckatoo

Photo is not clear, my son took it and I was in a hurry to go to school.
I was teaching Guy Fawkes to my adult students and was wondering how to teach TRADITION. Guy Fawkes is an English Tradition, but the New Zealanders also celebrate it though many people disapprove of it as the fire crackers and fire works frighten the animals, cause a lot of burns. Not forgetting idiots who cause a menace.

I decided I would wear my brand new Malaysian dress the Kebaya, and took along a lot of things from different countries. My sister E gave me this dress when I visited her this July.  Thumbs up to the batik Kebaya. My students from Korea, China, Ethiopia, Russia, Sri Lanka, Hong Kong and Tonga. appreciated I went to such an extend to help them understand what Tradition is.

When I went to the Malay wedding in the Kuching Civics centre, I didn't dance, but some where along the line, I lost 1 of my set of brooches. This Kebaya doesn't need pinning up in front. I used one of them to pin the sash.

"PARROT" hit old song from Dutch female singer.
Popularized by: Anneke Gronloh in 1962.     http://youtu.be/tqU-bwmTEr4

When I was young, I went to an English medium School. Sarawak was then a British colony. In 1963, it joined  North Borneo, Singapore with Malaya to for Malaysia. We were given dispensation and I continued my education to high school as an English Medium school.

We often hear on the radio this song, or part of it. And not know what it meant. During the International Night at the Windsor university, we were debating over to this this song or Leng gang song, we all told the other song was more entertaining. http://ann-mythoughtsandphotos.blogspot.co.nz/2012/11/lenggang-kangkung-and-me.html  http://youtu.be/FppNLJu_cNA

You are welcome to listen to it for yourself.
