ABC Wednesday: A for aerobridge

http://abcwednesdayround3.blogspot.com/
ABC Wednesday is hosted by Mrs. Denise Nesbitt

In the old days, when we flew in a plane, we walk to the tarmac, walked up a flight of stairs to get to the plane. You get the thrill of actually seeing yourself getting into the plane.

These days, for most planes, you use an aerobridge.

Ah yes the same is also like that here too, I remember way back in the early to late 80's we used to climb aboard by going up steps to get into the plane, now we in some states airports they ride a tram to get to the plane.

Good Choice for the letter A. I too is also partipating with the ABC Wednesdays.

In the US, it depends on the size of the plane, and sometimes the size and layout of the airport as to whether the aerobridge is used.

Thanks for participating.

Ann, I'm trying to figure out why your comments on my blog - and thank you for that - often often come in as spam. I know it is not, and I correct it

We have all tied those - ugly and clammy.

Re you comment: only via satellite. Mountains in the way and too far away anyhow.

How true! But I have flown on smaller planes, where you have to climb up steps to get in. You're right, it is a thrill! And even more of a thrill to travel on a smaller plane anyway, since it feels a lot more like a plane and less like a bus ride!

My parents had a chance to visit New Zealand and Australia in the last few years. I hope to also have the pleasure of walking down an aerobridge to New Zealand some day!!

Your camera appeared in everywhere.

You are a paparazzi.

Have you spotted Paris Hilton?

A good photo! I didn't even know what it was at first. I wonder why they use these things now? You are right, you can't see your friends and family get on or off! It kind of takes away from the experience, especially if you want to take pictures.

I remember boarding planes from the tarmac. Until they built the new airport in my city the larger planes had to boarded that way.

I always feel excited when I have to go through the aerobridge. At small airports there's still a flight of steps to climb up and it's a lot nicer to do and even more exciting!
Beautiful A, Ann!
