Weekend Reflection: Auckland Airport
http://newtowndailyphoto.blogspot.com/
Located in the washroom of the departure lounge of the Auckland International airport was this receptical for used needles. In this day of Aids and hepitities, I wonder if there are still people gambling with their lives and sharing needles.

I can't imagine that people would get through security with needles, unless they were diabetics. Would be a strange irony to allow drugs but not nail clippers.
Well, Ann, we're Weekend Reflection neighbors this weekend. We logged on just after you. Your post got me reflecting, not just seeing reflections!!!

A perfect reflection, stimulating reflection...
Great shot and reflection.
Malaysia not up to that standard yet - probably never(safer)
This is a great reflection shot. I was wondering why on earth there was a sharps container in the airport! Kathy
hi Ann,hopefully you can complete your book about the coming of the Cantonese of Sarawak - reserve 1 copy for me,yeah?
Ann: I agree that the people should not be taking chances like that.
BTW: Those wild turkeys are the ones that are hunted.
I've never seen containers like that in any of the airports I've passed through. Hope that they would be for medical needs only but still...Have a nice weekend Ann.
Great reflection picture, Ann... But---I have never seen a container like that...
We had a little snow here during the night. It was just a dusting --but is pretty.
Hugs,
Betsy
great reflection shot. I first thought there were actually two of them!
Ann: You asked about snow in the US. Greensboro doesn't have any snow right now. My friends in Virginia, near Washington D.C. and in West Virginia are all snowed in. We missed 4/5 days of school last week in our town but now we are OK. Thanks for asking. This daily photo blogging is so much fun. You feel so connected to the world.

I guess this means you are back home! :)
Interesting reflection. I don't recall seeing one of these at an airport.
I bet there are still peole gamble with shared needles just as there are people who gamble with drugs. :)
I have not seen those containers in airports too. I still can't get the idea why people share needles.
BTW, great reflection shot.
I would rather used needles were put in a sharps bin instead of elsewhere where they are a hazard for others.
Who would have thought a sharps disposal in a public restroom?
I have seen more of these disposal recepticals in other places. But the one in the airport, I supposed they were installed pre-terrorists days, and the airport management didn't get around removing it.
