Last Oct
12th, I launched my 3 books at RH hotel, my guest of honour was Dato
Sri Wong Soon Koh. The Quang Ning Association arranged for two lions to
welcome the VIPs as they arrived.
It was such a great honour. According to this old
Chinese tradition and culture, only very important events have the lions
attending your function.
Lion dance (simplified Chinese: 舞狮; traditional Chinese: 舞獅; pinyin: wǔshī) is a form of traditional dance in Chinese culture
and other Asian countries in which performers mimic a lion's movements
in a lion costume. The lion dance is usually performed during the Chinese New Year
and other Chinese traditional, cultural and religious festivals. It may
also be performed at many other important occasions such as business
opening events, special celebrations or wedding ceremonies, or may be
used to honour special guests by the Chinese communities. WIKI

That must have been very exciting to have your book launch honored in such a way. Congratulations. The photo looks beautiful!
(I answered your question about the crabs back on my blog.)
Congratulations - that's very exciting! I was interested in your previous post about coffee grounds, I'll have to keep mine. The soil where I live is terrible for growing anything, maybe they will help.
I don't know if the graffiti on the dam was allowed or not, but it seemed reasonably well done so it caught my eye. Around here, too much graffiti is gang-related.
