We went to the Orang utan enclosure, the orang utans aka as men of the forest went hiding. Sam says he could spend the whole day swinging the ropes on the structure.

I teased that he could dress in a monkey suit and masquerade as one and attract more visitors to the zoo.

Zoo's are great place to bring the kids with. I've never been to our Detroit Zoo but this time I am determine to visit this summer. Thanks for sharing!

So you live in Detroit. I was in Windsor in 1975-77. Sometimes we went across the tunnel or bridge to Detroit.

How's the snow?

Have Sam been to the Singapore zoo? the orang utan here are let loose on the trees on one area. They would sit around watching people walking by. By closing time, they will be called back into their cages.

We lived in Takapuna for a year, and I took my boys to Auckland zoo, which they loved. Do they still have the giraffe slide? And the alligator you can crawl inside?

On behalf of the ABC Wednesday team, thanks for taking part this week! :)

Ann,

We went to the Washington Zoo when we were in DC, but most of the animals were indoors because of the cold. It was a bit of a disappointment.

Thanks for your comments on my post today.
Blessings,
Mary

What a great structure for the orangutans to play on. Too bad they were in hiding!
