Save the world/photohunt: Zesty- Christine Maslowski

8th ~ Zesty
Synonyms: Dynamic, effervescent, energetic, enthusiastic

This week's Zesty sent me to google the meaning of this word. I had known ZEST as in lemon Zest and I didn't want to use this definition. My English teacher Dr Jannis would be very pleased with me. This morning, I met this wonderful zesty woman.

Christine Maslowski had invited the water engineer to give his expert advice on some shoreline she and her friends were wanting to save. I tagged along to take photos for my blogs and I am glad I went.

The zesty award of my Photohunt and my save the world goes to Christine who is not only fighting to save the shoreline of Whitford. For the last 10 years she has been fighting to save New Zealand Natives birds by setting traps against rodents like rats and stoats. And protecting the area by gently reminding people not to take their dogs in the protected area. I would have shouting," Hey you, can't you read??" But she didn't.

May be I should nominate her to the Good Sorts on TV1. Unfortunately the people I nominate don't get selected.

December 7: Introduce A Friend Your best friend, a work friend, a long-time friend or an interesting friend. Who will it be?

This is difficult, I have a group of very very good friends. It is unfair to single out one. Beside, she may not let me put her on internet. My Group of girl friends who help me in my charity drives. who stood my me when I got sick,

who came together when I return for a visit, despit being away for  seven years. These are my bestiest.

Yellow:Reading my book in UK.

Hello Ann,
Thank you so much for Deborah's picture and for the heart rendering description  which I will place next to her pictures.
Thank you so much for offering to send me your book for the exhibition.  I am sure that your words will bring solace and connection with so many.  I look forward to reading your poems.
Excerpt from my book:
Deborah was doing well in the crèche with Andrea. One day she came up to the ward to give Andrew a picture she had made. She had drawn her family photo. When I saw it, I cried. She drew Andrew as a baby floating above us. She had glued onto him a blue Chinese conical hat. The rest of us were standing firmly on the ground. She told me that she stuck the hat on because Andrew was a Chinese boy and he was up in the skies because he was an angel. To her, it was a good picture. She had in her own way accepted that Andrew was going to die and he was going to be an angel. We pinned the picture above Andrew’s cot, and she proudly told everyone that her baby brother was going to be an angel.
