Elmo had four ducks (quack quack quack quack)
four birds of a feather (quack quack quack quack)
to waddle with (quack quack quack quack)
and quack together. (quack quack quack quack)
But then one day… one swam away
Oh gosh oh gee… Elmo just had three.

Elmo had three ducks (quack quack quack)
three birds of a feather (quack quack quack)
to waddle with (quack quack quack)
and quack together (quack quack quack)
But then one day… one went achoo!
And off he flew… so Elmo just had two.

Elmo had two ducks (quack quack)
two birds of a feather (quack quack)
to waddle with (quack quack)
and quack together. (quack quack)
But then one day… one had to run
to get some sun… then Elmo just had one.

Elmo had one duck (quack)
one bird of a feather (quack)
to waddle with (quack)
and quack together. (quack)
But then one day… it spun and spun
and got so dizzy… Elmo now had none.

Elmo had no ducks… not even a feather
to waddle with… and quack together.
But then one day… Elmo heard a QUACK!
Oh gosh oh gee… Elmo’s ducks came back!

Australia is known as the big continent to New Zealanders. Everything is big. Here, my daughter overcomed her fear and went up and down the slide which was very high.

Photohunt: Painting

http://www.currumbin-sanctuary.org.au/

Yes, I know this week's challenge is on painting, but I want to focus on the painter who paints the paintings. I asked her if I could photograph her paintings. She said she didn't know if the management would allow me to do it. I was just in awe that Barbara Stockill sells her paintings and the proceeds go to the Animal Hospital. She is there on Sundays and Tuesdays as an artist, and a volunteer on Thursdays.

You will have to imagine her paintings from the photos I have taken on this sanctuary, they would be kangaroos, wallabies, koalas, and beautiful birds of Australia.

I spent a wonderful time of nostalgia and interests at this wild life sanctuary at the Gold Coast of Australia.

25 years years ago, I went with Mum and Dad and D to see the famous Kangaroos and Koalas. Mum and Dad have passed away, and going back there makes it a special place.

They have a new place, the Green trail adventure challenge which Sam completed. http://ann-mythoughtsandphotos.blogspot.com/2010/01/scenic-sunday-currumbin-sanctuary.html

weekend reflections:

Some people live dangerously, they pursue adventures that can be precarious. Recently, an engineer died while test driving his home made hover craft.http://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gif

My reflection for this week is how dangerously should we live our life.

http://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=10742835

Friends of Alastair Senior have paid tribute to an "amazing man", who was passionate about the hovercraft he had spent years building it in his West Auckland garage.

But his passion turned to tragedy on Sunday when the 40-year-old father of three was killed on a test drive on Muriwai beach.

Friends yesterday paid tribute to Mr Senior, saying he was very clever, intelligent and sensible.

One woman said he was well respected and loved by many and another friend described him as an "amazing man".

In a death notice his family said he died "in pursuit of his dreams".

Police said Mr Senior took the hovercraft to the beach for its first test run and was operating it when the propeller came loose. It fell and the blade struck him on the back of the head.

Police initially said the blade decapitated Mr Senior, however they confirmed yesterday it had severely damaged the back of his head causing fatal injuries.

Save the world:save your life./ABC Letter C for Colon and Colonoscopy

httphttp://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gif://abcwednesday-mrsnesbitt.blogspot.com/

http://reducefootprints.blogspot.com/

This week, my challenge is one that people don't like to talk about. It is about our colon aka large intestine/bowel and colonoscopy. Sometimes, if we have irregular bowel movement, it is best to check it out just in case we have cancer. Polyps can be seen and removed before it develops to cancer.

A healthy diet with lots of fruits and vegetables helps. We are told to eat 5 portions of fruits and vegetable. Psyllium husks helps both ways, when you go too frequently or you don't go.

A friend went for a colonoscopy recently. Three days before, she mustn't eat fruits or food with pips and tiny seeds. The day before, she had to take light breakfast and light lunch. The evening before, she took the Moviprep, a solution that is a laxative. It doesn't taste nice and is very salty.

By then, she had completely emptied her bowel from faecal material after going very frequently. During the examination, She was sedated and a small camera takes photos.

For all her trouble, the doctor told her she passed her warranty of fitness, aka WOF.

She can't drive to the hospital and after the procedure for 10 hours. So I went with her. I waited for her procedure and drove her home.

Sorry if you are having your lunch or dinner. But it can save your life. While I was waiting for my friend, the surgery was very busy.

25 years ago, my bro Charles and Sis in law Karen came to visit us from Australia with their two girls. We went to Victoria park.

This is for you, Karen.
