skywatch friday: Singapore Marina South

In Marina South Park in Singapore, a biscuit company sponsored erecting some statues off Chinese heros. It was without controversy as Singapore is a multi cultural country.

It was a windy day when we were there.

I see your family is taking shelter on the leeward side of the statue!

WHEN PLANETS PLUMMET

When planets plummet
And comets careen,
It’s the strangest sight
You ever have seen.

When drunk stars stagger
And comets collide,
It’s time to look up
As you go outside

To stare at the sky
Where the strangest sight
Is the moon-faced thing
That you see at night.

I swear, sometimes being politically correct in all kinds of culture just goes too far. This is an incredible and wonderful statue...and the photo is so cool.

With the impending fizzling tropical storm yesterday and not being online much because of preparing for the worst that never came, I'm now trying to catch up on visiting those that visited me. Thanks for taking the time to leave a great comment: MUCH APPRECIATED!!

Have a blessed weekend.

Ann...this is one precious shot. Love seeing the family. Yes, I do know the little song...taught kindergarten for a number of years and we would sing it all the time. 5 little ducklings sitting in a row...fat ones, skinny, ones, and little one, too. But the one little ducki with the feathers on his back, wooed all the others with his quack, quack, quack. Genie
