Photohunt Superfluous

 I had to check again what it means, superfluous, I chose excessive. I was watching a Masterchef show, and the judge says at a three course meal, a rich dessert is Superfluous. They just want a light dessert. Indeed, this dessert was too rich for me.

 

~ Superfulous ~

Superfulous . . . It was one of the words that someone suggested. So, I was asking Suri for a definition, just like the rest of you.
This is my interpretation ~ A Christmas angel that we have had on our tree for 35 years. As the tree has gotten bigger, she seems smaller. So. . . she has gone from insignificant to superfulous with the addition of ribbon and a tree topper.

I can't wait to see what you have found that is Superfulous.

Black tomatoes

My tomato has the colour of a dark plum, do you know what kind they are? They can be black krim (Russian ) or Black Zebra, The family thinks they are sweeter than normal tomatoes. Thanks Glenice Van Polanen Petel
The deep red-purple, almost black, green-shouldered variety of tomatoes known as "Black Krim" (Solanum lycopersicum) originated in Krim, Russia, near the Black Sea. This heirloom tomato grows on 4- to 7-foot vines, producing numerous 6- to 12-ounce globe-shaped fruits. Fans of the "Black Krim" rave about the rich, salty flavor of its fruits.
‘Black Zebra’ is a natural and stabilized heirloom cross between a black tomato and Green Zebra, and its size and shape are akin to Green Zebra.

Alphabe-Thursday G for goat

About 100 years ago, in 1907, my great grand dad left the village Guang Ning, near to Guangzhou city for Sibu, Sarawak.

In 1978, I left Sibu for Auckland.

In 1989, Guangzhou became a twin city of Auckland. I was very pleased and proud. I have not been to GuangZhou or China, but to be part of this twinning gave me a great sense of pride.

In 1999, the people of Guangzhou presented this statue of five rams to the people of their sister city. When I see it when I visit Myers Park, my chest swells with pride. It makes me want to visit Guangzhou.


Guangzhou is the Hangyu pingyin or Mandarin name for what was Canton.
