Photohunt: Colours
Amy and Tiffany are going to Fiji in June of 2014 with Word of Life Ministers, on a short term mission trip. We need your prayers and encouragement through this Journey! They were selling cakes and colourful jewellery.
In the British influenced countries, we spell colour colour. The Americans spell it color. I have to teach my students are they are influences by American TV. In American spelling, you spell or instead of our.
The PhotoHunt for this weekend is Colours

My Neem tree.

I was living in the Nanyang Technological University as a faculty wife. The Campus wanted the ground to be manicured, but there were some who would always grow plants against regulation.
I was one of them. I grew 2 Neem trees from cuttings that came with a long story. Neem trees are useful trees, and the tree cutters spared them. Now they are tagged after the Youth Olympics. Nobody is allowed to chop them down, and they are big trees. The residents call it Aunty Ann's Tree.
ABC Wednesday H for Hedgehog and hibiscus
I am passionate about the environment and I get furious when people
don't take care of her. Recently some idiots played badminton and left
the net on the ground.
The net trapped two little hedgehogs, a mum and a baby. I thought they were almost dead. My Sri Lankan neighbours cut the net and released the hedgehogs. They Hindus and don't believe in harming the animals.

As you can image, with the pricks, the rescue mission took a long time. One leg of the baby was so swollen that it ballooned four times it's normal size.
I told them to put some water on the grass. The hedgehogs were so dehydrated that they lapped up the water.
Three hours later in the twilight, they had gone. I was so relieved.

Life surf guards.

Our Life surf guard are mostly volunteers.
Red and yellow day, New Zealand is a country of beautiful beaches, Our Life Savers patrol our beaches, educate us about the dangers associated with them, and how to enjoy our beaches. Most of these work are done by volunteers. Today, we honour them. I went to work in red and yellow, so did the students.

Photohunt: Boogie
This is our old faithfull boogie borad. We take it to the beach, to the sand dunes and the snowy slopes. It serves us very well.
It makes friends for us, we have strangers asking if the boogie board is any good for sliding down the mountains and the sand. We offer our boogie board to others, and they in turn lend their toboggan.
New Zealanders aka Kiwis are very friendly.
The PhotoHunt for this weekend is Boogie, my theme is a different boogie. I also have round boogie boards.

I am linking my blog post for Heather, whose son was murdered. They are trying to get a bill to pass Cameron's law to make eye witnesses to be responsible.
