abcwednesday Letter H: hundred
http://abcwednesdayround3.blogspot.com/
Letter H for hundred. This school Eden Dale school in Auckland is one hundred years old. Sam went to the school which is for 5 to 11 year olds. I asked him what Eden Dale is good for, and as a skeptical 13 year old, he said, nothing. One of the projects they had was writing to pen pals overseas. At the end of the year, all the monitors were treated to a free trip to Randbow's end, a mini Disney land.
To be fair to the school, I googled search. It is a state co-ed school for six hundred students. There are first world war memeorial plagues on the columns. What intrigued me is the shape of the decor on the roof. is it a bird, or is it a boat?
An alcohol outlet is just beside the school. People protested when they were building it, but it is still there. The school is at a major road, and there had been serious accidents, despite the traffic lights, and student traffic controllers.

Hi Ann, A hundred years old! That's worth a celebration! Congratulations! Thanks for sharing. Aren't you awfully early for the letter H? It's due next Wednesday, 10th September.
Thanks for your visit and the delightful little story about the garden gnome! Have a great weekend!
Correction Ann, it's due the 8th September.
Great shot and interesting post for the H day!
Have a great day!

Wil- Sometimes one posts when one can.
Ann-I was always a tad annoyed that our neighborhood school, which was 99 years old, was razed for a new (and admittedly better) building.
Very interesting H post--some credit should be due just for its age. Great photo too.
Happy Wednesday!

Hahaha! That made me laugh. Typical boy's response, I'd say! LOL!
100 years old? That's pretty good going!
