Goslings in Western Springs

Goosey goosey gander,
Whither shall I wander?
Upstairs and downstairs
And in my lady's chamber.
There I met an old man
Who wouldn't say his prayers,
So I took him by his left leg
And threw him down the stairs.

When my girls were young, this nursery rhyme was banned in some quarters. They say it advocated violence when the old man was thrown down the stairs. Not something they wanted their young ones to learn.

Enjoy my outing today. I wish I took a photo of the aunts and uncles of these gosling warding off an intruder.

Goslings are indeed cute. ;-) How interesting the nursery rhyme was banned. Maybe it was here too and I just didn't know it.
