Auckland, twelfth best city to live???

Auckland is ranked the 12th best city to live in according to the Economist intelligence unit's liveability survey.

The survey looked at 140 cities around the world and ranked them according to stability, healthcare, culture and environment, education and infrastructure.

When you visit Auckland, you will find us a very diversed cultural city. Auckland is the Polynesian capital of the world, there are many Chinese and Indians. In fact, in the schools, we have students of all nationalities. We live relatively harmoniously.

This photo was taken during the annual lantern festival, on the fifteenth day of the lunar new year in Albert park. On the days of the celebration, New Zealanders of all ethnic backgtound flock to these celebration.

http://adelaide-in-photos.blogspot.com/ Gordon's Adelaide is one ahead of Auckland. In fact all Australia's biggest cities ranked highly. Melbourne was in third place, Perth fifth, Sydney ninth and Brisbane 16th. My sister Rose in Brisbane would be pleased.

Alice,

You are right about the infrastruture of Singapore being the best. Your Govt seems to have endless money to built, tear down and rebuild. Bigger, taller everyday. Have you heard that people dub Singapore as the Lego city.

I do hope they will install elevators that stop at every floor.

Cheers,

Ann:)

Australia is a popular destination these days. My niece and nephew are going to school there for a year and arrive in July. I am not surprised you have so many top ranked cities.

This makes me more impatient about going to see New Zealand and for a while, I lost you. So I make sure to add your link to mine, so it would be easy to find you.

That is good news Ann.
