Photo hunt: Taste, Thursday Theme song

How tasty and fresh these plums are when they are just picked from the tree?

"The Jingle Jangle Scarecrow"       Dingle Dangle
When all the cows were sleeping
and the sun has gone to bed
Up jumped a scarecrow
and shouted very LOUD!
"I'm a Jingle Jangle scarecrow     ( Dingle Dangle)
 with a flippy floppy hat.
I can shake my arms like this!
And shake my feet like that!"

It is 10 sleeps to Christmas,
The plums on the tree are getting ripe.
The birds fly to the white fence,
And chirp to themselves,
I am going for that red plum,
That very yummy plum.
I am going for that red plum,
That very yummy plum.

It is 10 sleeps to Christmas,
Mummy is making apple pies.
The birds fly to the white fence,
And chirp to themselves,
I am going for that red apple,
That very yummy apple.
I am going for that red apple,
That very yummy apple.

I am doing a Teach English course, and one Task was to change the mode. Use a song, and make your own, and expand it to different methods of teaching. I had already introduced this before, and by the end of it, I was very pleased. http://ann-mythoughtsandphotos.blogspot.co.nz/2012/04/thursday-song-jingle-jangle-scarecrow.html

For my save the world theme: When you have excess produce, share it with others , friends, neighbours and to birds. My Grand dad used to say, God blessed you abundantly, he made the birds, you share with them. In deed, my apple and plum trees fed the birds more than they fed me. It was because I didn't eat the sour fruits.

pretty ripe color.

(the wood ducks are not the same as mandarin ducks, but i think they are built similarly. i think the mandarins are even prettier!)

They are apples in the other pictures. Am I right?

How nice I can have apple trees in my garden.

An apple a day keeps the doctor away.

Hi, I came by your site via Meet & Greet Monday at Reduced Footprints. Nothing in the shops compares to the flavour of plums picked straight from the tree. We used to climb my gran's plum tree to get the ones just out of reach.
