Skywatch Friday: Indian Temple
http://skyley.blogspot.com/
The clouds circle the white dome of the Indian temple at Sandrigham, Auckland. You can't see from the photo, pigeons circle the dome and rest on the grooves. The Hindus don't believe in killing animals. They feed the pigeons. On some occasions, devotees bring grain to feed these birds.

in India if not mistaken in one of the big temples, the mice are revered and are fed daily with fresh milk.
Pigeons are survivors and do very well wherever they settle. :)
Pigeons are lovely, so tame you thought you can catch, but you never will... The temple is quite a sight, very modern in design. ~bangchik
A very pretty shot!
Lovely photo! I like the idea of not killing any creatures.
Thanks for sharing your part of the world with us!

hi Ann !
since 1974 ? ,that's almost 3 decades, sure there's changes with Sibu.but my very old place at Wah Kew Road didn't change much, still haunts with frequent flash floods(cannot-be-held-drainage-system)or may be SMC not motivated enough.Yeah, that's "Kok Thai"(Cathay Cinema) now selling assortments.about the shaven pig head - probably more macho looking ??hehe.. younno,at times i do believes there "Siew Yan" loitering everyway around us,just that we don't posses the 3rd eye to see them.Your Ah Kund'd be right about those samseng ghosts..heheha !
yeah, sometimes my sisters applies this Cantonese custom not to visit the graves during Ching Ming becoz they are just- plain lazy !
mmm...,i think Bokeh Photography is more to bringing the subject to focus or emphasizing very much on a target.with a DSLR, you can do a lot of blurring. go get a DSLR ,Ann - you'll be very busy than normal afterwards,..hehehe Happy Easter to you & family
Ann I really like the composition of the photo.. and happy Easter to you also.
