Ruby Red: Christmas at the Rocket park.

http://workofthepoet.blogspot.com/

My church, Mt Albert Baptist church is organising for the first time, Christmas in the park. Here's all the ruby red notices at our local mall this Sunday.

There is going to be a teddy bears' picnic and carols by candle light. I will be there with my ESOL students selling drinks.

Christmas in the park—
what wonders will unfold there?
Will Christ himself come?

I've often wondered what Christmas in the summer feels like? How different is it from what Hollywood portrays (snow, Santa, sleighs, reindeer etc)

When I was growing up in Borneo, I could only "Dream of a white Christmas." When I went to canada in 1975, my room mate's parents invited me home to the most wonderful white Christmas. I am forever grateful to them.

Here in New Zealand, and in Australia, it is hot hot hot, many people have BBQs, some go to the beach, some just have it at home. Some celebrate Christmas in July. They say, Christmas eating salads ain't the same.
