ABC Wednesday: letter Q for Queen
http://abcwednesdayround3.blogspot.com/
Every child of the English speaking world knows Q is for Queen. Every learner of English knows Q is for Queen.
This is Victoria (Alexandrina Victoria; 24 May 1819 – 22 January 1901) was the Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland from 20 June 1837, and the first Empress of India of the British Raj from 1 May 1876, until her death. Her reign as the Queen lasted 63 years and 7 months, longer than that of any other British monarch before or since, and her reign is the longest of any female monarch in history. The time of her reign is known as the Victorian era, a period of industrial, political, scientific and military progress within the United Kingdom.

63 years is a long time to be Queen...
I wanted to do queen for my post but couldn't find one!
Lovely post and photos and a great look at the reign of Queen Victoria! It was a very special period within the United Kingdom.
Have a great day!

Amazingly long time to be Queen. Great choice for the letter Q.
Did you ever see the movie Mrs. Brown? Interesting film with Judi Dench as Victoria after the death of Albert.
"The Queen of Queens". A very appropriate Q.
At least you've got a visible queen (as opposed to mine who was hiding in the carriage).
Great Q
They sure put a lot of statues up in those 63 years. Interesting photos.
And now we have Queen Elizabeth. Canada is a member of the Commonwealth as well.
Great Q post!
Thanks for stopping by.
I live about 2 ours east of Windsor. Small world! Are you still teaching?
I'd forgotten how long she served as Queen. Amazing. Nice post!
