When I was young, my parents told me not to look into the neighbour's house. Here in my cousin's house, you don't have to look into her neighbour's house, just look into her own.

Beautiful reflection shots. Thanks for visiting and to answer your question the lake freezes some winters but not every winter in terms of freezing solid. This year the shallow part has frozen some mornings but it hasn't stayed cold enough to freeze over.
