What is Auckland's winter like? Wet and cold. There are puddles everywhere. My cousin Alicia was rained out everywhere she went. In the morning there was heavy fog. Not so nice to a first time visitor. She will come again, and hopefully, it will be a finer day.

I was in January and February on the South Island and that was very hot. But beautiful. I compared New Zealand to Norway all the time. The fjords are almost the same. Only in New Zealand they are not inhabited like those in Norway, where there are towns on all the banks of the fjords, especially where they reach the ocean, like Stavanger, Bergen, Trondheim. The buildings are older in Norway. New Zealand is one of the most beautiful countries in the world and so is Norway.

As your earlier Pinay visitor mentioned, it's raining here too... but we can hardly call it winter when the temps are still in the high 20sC. Tonight it rained on my plan to play tennis.

Difficult to imagine that it's winter at the other side of the world...I 'm missing rain so much that I'd be happy to cross puddles whan I stroll!:)

I think a winter "wet and cold"is terrible, I don't like, but here in Luxembourg when it's winter, it's the same thing... :(
As I'm from Brazil, for me it's so different!Last November I was in a way for depression because the weather.It was my first winter alone Brazil.I hope this year I can deal better about it!

You have such a good eye to catch a lovely reflection in an ugly puddle! Soemthing beautiful from something not so beautiful. But beauty is in the eye of the beholder!
It's amazing sometimes how nice simple puddles reflect something.
I am curious to know what temperature you call "cold." :)
The wild boar is too big for me to carry into my car. It must cost at least RM600 and is then nice to pay for the repair cost.
My car is full of its smell and mud after the knock.
It is good to cook curry wild boar.
Not so good for Alicia, but the rain made nice reflections for us!
