Some of you may remember my June post, where I show you this photo I took from my school. We have been having so much rain these winter that it is not funny. Yesterday, the fog blanketed the whole day, and planes were canceled.
Yesterday, when I looked towards the same direction I took the June photo, it seems an ogre had descended from the skies and escape with our city icon, our Sky City tower. As I took the photo, my colleague asked me what was I photographing. In jest, I said," The Sky Tower." He laughed.
Today, on my way home, the heavy downpour caused an almost zero visibility. All the cars were driving at a snail pace, and parts of the roads were flooded.

View from my school at Pt Chevalier. The Sky Town is the tallest building in the Southern Hemisphere. Some days we have a beautiful view, some day, it is shrouded with clouds.
A truly captivating experience awaits visitors to Auckland's Sky Tower. At 328 metres, it is the tallest man-made structure in New Zealand and offers breathtaking views for up to 80 kilometres in every direction.
Travel up in the glass-fronted lifts to one of the three spectacular viewing platforms, or for more thrills and excitement, SkyWalk round the pergola at 192 metres up or SkyJump off the Tower!

I thought I am seeing KL Tower. It must be due to heavy fog, I thought.
Awesome but eerie the thought of the tower there...and the one plane that did not hear of the cancellation...
don't know where my mind is today...
BlessYourDay and praying for you for sunshine
This post reminds me of a blog I once followed. A young man would post daily pictures of Mt. Fuji. I was fascinated, for a time, of how different that mountain looked from day to day.
Too much rain is as the same as snow both of them scares me specially when I am driving. Anything could happen you know. Be safe.

That sky tower is quite something to see! Does it have any rooms in it, or nothing till you get to the top? You can Skydive from it?? Around here, skydiving from a building is called Base jumping. One man around here recently put on a parachute and decided to jump from a local building. The building was too short for the parachute to deploy and he was killed. I would love to see this tower. Even though I am so scared of heights, I might even go up in it! Well, if you were there to encourage me, you would have to come with me. Have you been up there? It would be cool to take pictures from the top and post them on this blog!
Being enveloped in fog can be so dangerous, exciting, exhilarating, scary, and sometimes fun. It just amazes me....I'm so glad I came by to read and see what you're sharing today. Thank you.
Su-sieee! Mac
This and That. Here and There. Now, Sometimes Then.
i love fog because i don't see if often here. but it's scary when you're on the road. we're also getting a lot of rain--i think there's a typhoon coming and two low pressure areas. oh well.
I hope the sun comes out for you soon, Ann!
I like watching the fog, especially when I am NOT driving. I wish you some nicer weather.
