ABC Wed: Z for Zumba
This sign is 5 minutes from my house, but I am too embarrassed to join them, me with my flabby tummy. So I took the top three photos from the TV.
Zumba is a Latin dance -inspired fitness program created by dancer and choreographer Alberto "Beto" Perez in Colombia during the 1990s.
Zumba involves dance and aerobic elements. Zumba's choreography incorporates hip-hop, soca, samba, salsa, merengue, mambo, martial arts, and some Bollywood and belly dance moves. Squats and lunges are also included.
Zumba became very popular in New Zealand, and gyms and even church halls were offering Zumba sessions. They have infomercial on TV and I have never actually watch. Me being more interested in my finger exercise with my computer. But this morning, I remember it is letter Z this week, and last month, I saw a sign and took a photo in anticipation for this week's challenge.
My friend Megan told me that she has the CDs that she could do Zumba with. May be I could do that. and have the body one can only dream off.

The Zumba is very popular around here, too! But I have a bigger and flabbier tummy than you, you are slim!! I am just back from sick leave and catching up. Wishing you the very best in the New Year!!
Hi There, I was just watching a show on TV recently which talked about Zumba.... SO--it's neat to hear more about it. Thanks...
What do you do now? Start back with "A" again???
Hugs,
Betsy

You're too embarrassed? Well, you shouldn't be. Heck, Ann, I bet my tummy is more flabby. Trust me.
STAR OF INDIA
Looks fun!
Zing is it for me. Hope you can visit and see. Have a nice day!
I would love to learn how..
Zodiac is one of my entries. Come see it when you get a chance. Thanks!
I must admit that I have never heard of Zumba, but it does sound interesting. It sounds as if it was designed to make exercise more pleasant with the music and group activities.
You seem very busy Ann - with your ABC - Reflections - memes, with all great photos and your lovely words.
Thanks for your visit and kind comments too.
zumba sounds like fun... maybe i'll try it one day
Zumba is very popular around here too. The people on the info-commercial are just too slim and trim to start with.
Its too intimidating but maybe in my house with no one else around...(:0)
To answer your question I'm sorry I don't know the artist who sculpted the six foot high heel. I will try to find out the next time I am in Las Vegas.
Good shots, Ann. Zumba sounds too much of an effort for me. I'd prefer nice long walks in the countryside...
The YMCA where I work out offers Zumba, but it's scheduled at a time I need to prepare a meal for our Aunt we take care of.
It does look like fun!
I love Zumba! I download some video from youtube and starts doing zumba at home. Since I don't actually need to loose any weight, I just do it for fun.
Zumba is good fun, extremely energetic, but I have to say I prefer walking along the beach or in the bush!
This "dancercise" is very popular her too. I've tried it once.
Also the cost is almost the same here sponsored by our parks and recreation center $2 for an hour.
I prefer a walk or bicycle ride alone or with Hubby. That or some gardening are my kind of exercise.
Yes, I remember about the Rena, I heard on our Public Radio about it breaking up and all the cargo washing into the ocean. What a mess!
Woohoo,....you go girl. I've do everything from yoga to kick boxin' but have never tried Zumba.
I soooo want to!
God bless ya and have a fantastic time girl!
Hello.
Zumba is all the rage here in the US too. I love to exercise & have a Total Gym in my home, but the commercials never show "real" people & I agree, it can be quite intimidating. My suggestion is to save your money & take up walking around the block instead...it's free & you set a pace you're comfortable with.
Thanks for sharing.
Zealous For Your Love
Zumba seems to be gaining popularily here too. I must say I'm not a big fan of dance/aerrobic classes. I prefer to do it at home with a fitness DVD!!
A great finishing post for this round and the letter Z;
