Here's my Mellow Yellow. Have a fruitful year of the Dragon!
Because yellow is "wong" in Cantonese, and "ong" in Hokkien.
I would guess they're yellow for visibility. I think most people like big machines like this, I know I do!

Yes, yellow both for "caution" and visibility.
Louis la Vache, Thanks, some one told me before. That is why my snow/ski pants is yellow. My daughter sayd," Why, mum you buy it yellow?' I replied I read somewhere, if I get lost, people cane see me for far away.
Hoe are you? I have been thinking of you when the latest earth quake came last week. I hope that there will be no more of them.
I noticed they have yellow colors there maybe something about yellow for big machines:)

The same reason they paint the roads with yellow/white lines - it's for motorists to see even from afar. It's a fact: our eyes can see these colors even from long distances.

Megan is right. And I guess because people are already familiar with the color yellow, that even heavy equipment manufacturers are using this color. You know, yellow is considered to be the most visible and most attention-getting color, in which it is used in most traffic and warning signs as well.
