Hamilton is one hour's south of Auckland. This is where fellow blogger Pete lives.
There are six bridges which span across the Waikato river. The New Zealanders are very good in rowing. They are hosting the 2010 World Championship Regatta which will take place at Lake Karapiro, September 12-19th. New Zealand secured the rights to hold the 39th World Rowing Championship in 2006.
I am especially proud of the twin sisters Georgina and Caroline; EVERS-SWINDELL. They won gold in the Athens and Beijing Olympics and they are a great inspiration to my girl students.

That Chinatown Hotel is in Chinatown, along one of the lanes where street stalls are located. One of those old building which have been refurbished.

You posted a question on my post if my homeschoolers take public exam. I don't know where to send my answer to your question so thought of just leaving it here in your comment box. You don't need to publish it though :-)
In our homeschool program, we enrolled the kids in one school where we buy all the materials for all 7-8 academic subjects. Each subject has 12 booklets to complete one level/year. At the end of each booklet there is an exam which they need to pass (90%) before they can move on to the next booklet. We have to send those exam papers to the school for recording. For Physical Education and Music/Practical Arts, we, parents, have to have a program for them to complete 4 hours of activities per week.
They do public exams for placement if ever we decided to send them to regular school.

Interesting. I too had not heard of Kiwi's being champion rowers. I lived with one for ten years, a lifetime ago, though.
