ABC Wednesday:Zorro and Zorb

http://abcwednesdayround3.blogspot.com/
ABC Wednesday is hosted by Mrs. Denise Nesbitt

I was at my friend's house to celebrate her son's birthday. J has a framed movie poster of Zorro and she gave me permission to post this photo.

Zorro is a fictional character created in 1919 by pulp writer Johnston McCulley. He has been featured in numerous books, films, television series, and other media.
Zorro (Spanish for fox) is the secret identity of Don Diego de la Vega (originally Don Diego Vega), a nobleman and master living in the Spanish colonial era of California. The character has undergone changes through the years, but the typical image of him is a black-clad masked outlaw who defends the people of the land against tyrannical officials and other villains. Not only is he much too cunning and foxlike for the bumbling authorities to catch, but he delights in publicly humiliating those same foes.

Zorb was invented in New Zealand. It is available in many places now. My kids Zorbbed in Rotorua. You can also Zorb in Auckland now.

How can you not get sick or dizzy in that?

I left you a message under your comment. Essentially, you can post it and I can copy it and would use your profile picture, or you can go to my profile and get the email and email it to me with any other pictures you might want to use.

The Zorb reminds me of the fun we used to have as kids, curling up in a tractor tire (without the hub of course) and rolling each other down the hill behind the barn. It was great fun for a country kid.
And we used to watch Zorro on our very first television way back in the late 50's. Thanks for sparking a couple of fond memories.

Zorro and Zorb toghther, how funny! Way back in the 50's there was a Zorro T.V. show on once a week and I watched it. I can even remember the name of the actor who played Zorro, it was Guy Williams. More lately, I really enjoyed the first Zorro film that Antonio Banderas did. I've seen balls that look like the Zorb, only you get inside and they go on the water, is this one just for the land? Wouldn't you get banged up? Very interesting.

Last year I saw the zorb in Rotterdam and took some photos. Great post about Zorro and Zorb.
Thanks for your visit and comment. You wrote:"...they build the houses here a quarter acre." as a reminder of the destruction of London?

That would be just so much FUN!!

Guy Williams, who played Zorro on TV, later was on Lost in Space. Talk about your trivia.

Very interesting Z post; zee you again!

Thank you Ann for the explanation. Sorry I didn't say it properly that i liked you to explain. That must have been the Great Fire of London in 1666. No wonder that young people don't see the connection with the 1/4 acre houses.
Thanks for your visits. It's remarkable that you compare Rotterdam to Singapore, which is such a spacious and clean city, whereas Rotterdam is dirty and crammed.

Nausea ...I can feel it coming - or is it just the fact I have just eaten lunch and am imagining myself rolling around in it! lol!

Thanks so much for your contributions - roll on Round 7!
