photohunt: Free

July 10: Free

This Rotorua Swing generates a rush level equal to that of the bungy.

One, two or three people at a time are placed in hang-gliding harnesses, raised to a height of 40 metres, reaching speeds of 130km/hr and a G-Force factor of 3.

The added beauty with the SWOOP is that you can go solo, double or triple, the latter being the ultimate. As the more weight, the faster, the higher and the longer you swing!

We went to Rotorua.

My girls went on the swoop. G was too young to go on the bungy.
so this swoop was the next best. She was harnessed in it with two others.

After D did her bungy, she wanted to do the swoop as well. She was in it by herself. She felt FREE in the air. My girls are like Amazons, like their Hakka female ancestors who matched with the men to war.

I don't care for heights, so that ride would not be something I would care to take! Nice pictures though.

I don't think I dare to try this! I rather have both my feet firmly planted on the ground.

I have never heard of such a thing! It seems that it would be more controlled and less scary than bungee jumping. Is there just this one, or do they have them different places?

That is definitely a "freeing" experience! We see young people doing this at one of the amusement parks nearby. I am too chicken to try it, but your girls must be amazing!!!

Happy Weekend!
