watery wednesday: Rejang River

Water , Water every where, when it flooded, the water came up to our thighs.

We used to swim in the 350 miles long Rejang River. The river is now polluted and full of mud.

Unlike the times when I was growing up when the water was sweet and clean.

When we were little, Dad and Mum would bundle us in our old Fiat and go to the little park next to the Chinese temple along the rejang River.

There, we would watch the stevedores unload the ocean going ship. We marvel how our little river could accommodate these giants.

Nice pictures and sweet memories! my ww-photo is from the cold north where all the lakes and the sea are covered with ice and snow.
