Nanyang Technological University: Restaurants

This unusual looking building houses many restaurants and eateries like McDonalds, Subway, Old Chang gi.

They even installed bidets in this new building and adjoining buildings. I heard there was criticism what a waste of money for a university to spurge on this. So they are not operating. In fact, the original idea is very good. For those of you who have been to a Muslim country, you would have noticed that the toilet stalls are always very wet because the Muslims wash themselves rather than wipe with toilet paper.

Japanese Restaurant: Sakae Sushi

Here's what we ate, very healthy. The long green sushi is called dragon sushi. You can't get it off the sushi train. It has to be ordered separately. You just need to touch the computer screen.

Sakae Sushi Japanese Restaurant

There is a new building in the Nanyang Technological University. It houses many restaurants and eateries.

My friend SC treated me to a Japanese meal, and we went with her daughters and a friend. There is a sushi train that operates like a conveyors belt. Sushi on different colour plates go round and round. You choose what you like, and you will be charged according the the colour codes. You can almost touch the computer screen to order other items.

Hot water is dispensed at the table, there is lots of pickled ginger and wasabi.

The bean bags looks inviting, but I won't like to wear the slippers. I have this thing about wearing other people's slippers.

In my next post, I will show you some of the food we ate.
