weekend reflection: Puddles in school
http://newtowndailyphoto.blogspot.com/
We have so much rain that there are puddles everywhere in school. It is very tempting for little kids to step on the puddle. Here is a mini mural of whale at the drainage to discourage children from throwing rubbish into them. There are many of these drawings done by the children themselves. There was a competition, the children who won got to paint their mini mural.

What a great idea to paint mural around the drains. Lovely photo, Ann!
treasury photo image!
Art to encourage children to think about the environment. A splendid idea. Thanks, Ann.
The competition probably made a big impression on the kids. Now they are more likely to carry with them the message of "don't polute".
What a wonderful idea to have the children involved in learning, creating and helping the environment all in one project.
Nicely done, Ann.
Hi Ann, Great reflection pictures... AND--it's a great way for children to learn about our environment. We've had quite a bit of rain also--but this week it's VERY hot here.
Have a good week.
Hugs,
Betsy
How cute to put a whale around the drain!
Ann in response to you question about the Quad at Stanford, it is the quadrangle around which the original campus radiated. The school is now so big the campus goes every which direction.
Regarding the Sunday Bridges meme, we do it each Sunday. The post goes up at 001 hrs central Europe time and Linky stays open until 0801 hrs the following morning so that bloggers from around the world will have a reasonable window in which to post. Please join in any time you have anything resembling a bridge. It doesn't have to have cars driving over it! ;-D
Kids do like puddles...but teachers do NOT!
That's a great idea to let the children compete to see who draws the mural. It teaches them valuable lessons in caring for the environment.
I love to take pics of puddle. Your is great:-)
