mellow yellow monday:dinner for 4
http://mellowyellowmonday.blogspot.com/
It's been four years since I did any cooking for charity.
In Singapore, for sixteen years, my friends and I (a group of faculty wives and husbands) raised funds for the Deaf Children in Kenya. The school is Oyugi School for the Deaf in Kenya.

When my Church MABC got involved with working at the local school makeover, Mt Albert primary School, there was a call for donation of gift, cash and time. I offered a 3 course Malaysian dinner for 4.
I was pleasantly surprised that the bid went up to $120. So I decided to throw in a dessert as well.
I forgot to say that I packed up the food and delivered to my friend's house.
Here's what I cooked:
Saffron rice with raisins and almond flakes.
Malaysian curry chicken with coconut milk, potatoes and tomatoes.
Individually sauteed veges
Jelly lime and mandarin cake.
S. and S. enjoyed their dinner with friends.
Thank you for your generousity.

This looks so good that I have to say it is worth every cent bid. I'm getting hungry just looking at the pictures.
I would have been happy to put a bid in for a Malaysian meal too. Lovely food. Your guest would have been most appreciative.

Mmm...I'm not surprised that you got a nice bid for this. It all looks yummy.
Your work for the deaf in Kenya sounds interesting.
Oh my Ann, when I see your food my stomach growl ^_^. I know this is yummy, love it! I tried to plant different kind of flowers every year. I can't afford to buy them all one time the flowers here are so expensive hehe.
Here is one thing, some say I have a green thumb because even if the plants look dead already I can make it grow. Well here is my secret I talk to the flowers and they will grow healthy and happy ^_^. Happy Monday.
MYM~Yellow Hollyhock
RRT~Red Hollyhock
Yum!! I bet the folks that were bid were very happy.
what a great supper and a genorous bid
Your curry is the typical chinese version, with lots of coconut milk- it's mild compared to the authentic Indian curry. I don't add any coconut milk, just a few spoonful of yogurt or milk, I prefer mind the hot , spicy curry. You must be a great cook to be able to whip up such delicious food.
Bless you Ann for a good soul.your food looks delicious .i like the soup best.
Looks delicious...
Thanks for visiting, sorry for the late visit, I've got connection trouble recently...
