Did they build that deck there for that purpose to look over into the volcano - Is that what's steaming? Amazing! Would love to see a shot of the view from the deck!

Hi all,

This is a live geyser spewing different coloured sulphuric steam. Some times they can shoot up very high, and the roaring noise is deafening. The deck is a viewing platform. It also keeps tourists from wandering into dangerous ground. We did have a Europeon tourist who fell into one of the geysters despite warning signs of not wandering off and he died. Some times the geysters are "fiercer" than other times. They could just shoot up steam without any warning. The time I went with my father-in-law, he was very frightened and I laughed at him.
