mellow yellow Monday: Mr. Bean

http://mellowyellowmonday.blogspot.com/
This little yellow British Leyland Mini 1000 car reminds me of Mr. Bean. My kids used to love watching the series which followed the exploits of Mr. Bean. The actor Rowan Atkinson describes Mr. Bean as "a child in a grown man's body", in solving various problems presented by everyday tasks and often causing disruption in the process.

I never liked this series and movies. But some people do, and it made millions and won a few awards. He even made a movie where he went to USA in "The Ultimate Disaster Movie."

Did you ever watch Mr. Bean?

  1. I cannot stand Mr Bean unfortunately! Just cannot put myself thru it.

ps. thanks for visiting my post on Heian Shrine. Not sure if they are very different. Japanese, Chinese and Korean (next country after Japan) designs overlap quite a bit... Oh, at Heian Shrine, there were not statues/deities. I guess it's not the Shinto way...

  4. I did not watch Mr Bean too much as I found it too embarrassing. I do however like your photo of a yellow mini. I used to have a mini back in the late'60s but it was a beige colour. It was soooo cheap to run. A bit like a motorbike.

  5. The only Mr Bean I've ever seen is on airplanes, that is more than enough. I've never been fond of slapstick type humour. Your mini is cute, though.

  6. Every time I see sunlight passes through leaves and fall onto the floor in the jungle, I always think of Mr. Bean.

Mr. Bean used to arrive in this manner.

  11. The bright yellow mini is fun...Mr Bean? Not so much. He always reminded me of the Three Stooges (my childhood). My brother loved them - I always wondered what was so funny...these guys were hurting each other!

  20. Cute car :) I love Mr Bean, he's funny and what I admire most is his talent and the ability to have those facial expressions:) But I never allow my nieces and nephews to watch it , though.. I don't think it's suitable for the young ones..
