mellow yellow: special swing for special people

This special swing was at Orakei Park in Auckland New Zealand. Recently, I also saw one at the Gold Coast of Australia.

A great invention.

    I've never seen one like this before. Is it for wheelchairs? Does the front piece come up and lock the chair in? That's what I am imagining.

    This is for wheel chairs, and I thought what a great idea it is. They must be very expensive things as I don't see many around. I read a sign at the Orakei swing that some corporation had sponsored it.

    The Orakei park was donated by the Maori people of Orakei.

    Stine, I think your conjecture is right, on both occasions in Orakei, Auckland, and on the Gold coast, nobody was using it. I was also very pleased that no able bodied people went to use it.
