ABC Wednesday: Letter I

This little boy cools his feet in ice cubes after running 8.4 km.

On Sunday, I took part in our annual Round the bays Run. There were 70,000 Iron men in training. There were some very serious runners, and some just went for fun in support for the charities. I was awed by some very senior citizens in their 70s. They were incredible, as some walked with their sticks. They inspired me to finish the course.

  2. Great shots and I love the little boy cooling his feet in ice cubes. Looks like a fun event. My brother has competed in several iron man triatholons. I went to San Francisco about 20 years ago when he was doing the escape from alcatraz one. Now that I think of it I can't believe it was 20 years ago when he did that one for the first time.

  17. Great pictures, and great run.

Years ago, my husband and I ran, but never really far. He would do the 10k and did the two mile.

    It was fun.

  18. The boy on the ice reminds me of how they set up fire hoses for marathons. If it is a hot day the runners will run through the spray.
