ABC Wednesday: Y for Railyard

I am not sure if this is a rail yard, but I wanted to feature Queensland Australia. These photos were taken in Queensland. I watch the floods of Queensland and I remember when I was there this time last year.

A rail yard, or railroad yard, is a complex series of railroad tracks for storing, sorting, or loading/unloading, railroad cars and/or locomotives. Railroad yards have many tracks in parallel for keeping rolling stock stored off the mainline, so that they do not obstruct the flow of traffic.

    The floods is Queensland are almost unbelievable. I hope they get drier weather soon.
    This definitely looks like a rail yard. I like those colorful engines.

    HI Ann, The flooding in Australia is horrible... I have a blog friend in Brisbane and he is okay, but talks about all of the rain every single day... HORRIBLE.

    Great pictures of the Railroad Yard. My Dad worked for the railroad and when I was a little girl, he would take me to work with him at times and I'd get to go to the 'yard' and see the trains... SO much fun!
