ABC Wednesday is hosted by Mrs. Denise Nesbitt
This is a Penan or Punan woman. The Penans are nomadic people in Sarawak,Borneo. Here she is using her nose to play a flute.
Holy Cow---I could never play an instrument with my nose... I'd love to hear that!!!!!! Is that 'common' ???? I love hearing flutes.. My best friend's hubby plays a wooden flute and it's so soothing...
Thanks for sharing something about the Penans. Hugs, Betsy
I bet there's a knack to playing a flute with your nose and plenty of practice to go along with it. Best flute player i know is Ian Anderson from the britsh band Jethro Tull worth a listen.
She does not look like the stereotype Penan people we saw on the National Geography or other magazine. She looks more like us in the modern society. Have a good weekend
Is your nose as valuable as hers.
ReplyDeleteHaha...
Happy Deepavali back here.
Is this method a Penan culture?
ReplyDeleteI've actually tried that; I'm no good at it.
ReplyDeleteOn behalf of the ABC Wednesday team, thank you!
This is a very interesting method of playing the flute.
ReplyDeleteInteresting shot, I've heard of this but never seen it before. Great post!
