These sparrows and other native birds are like my pets. I feed them with bread, rice and noodles. They come at winter, spring, summer and autumn.

These birds are very crafty, They fly away when I try to take their photos. The family doesn't like me to feed them as they poop on the laundry. Now I have worked a system, the day I hang my laundry up, the birds go hundry.

  1. You are kindhearted to feed the birds, and for thanks they poop on your clothes! Glad to have a look at the culprits!

  2. Lots and lots of birds, Ann.... Glad you enjoy feeding the birds too. I am lucky in that I can stand inside my home (where they can't see me) --and take pictures with my long lens.....

Hope you have a great week ahead.
    Hugs,
    Betsy

  4. My hubby has been feeding the birds in our backyard (we live in a bird sanctuary) for many many years. When he is away, I do it.

[TO answer your question, he was born in Zhongshan and grew up in Guangzhou. Where did you get the idea of Hong Kong?]

  5. It looks as if the birds are waiting for you to feed them. I think it is probably a good idea to let them go hungry on the days you do your laundry.

I am actually in Egypt at the Red Sea, wonderful weather, 35° what a change to my cold Belgium !
Your dog story was rather sad, fortunately with a happy end !
