Fish cleaning therapy is sprouting all over in Japan, Korea , China and South East Asia.
Garra Rufa, a type of small tropical fish, also nicknamed Chinchin Yu, nibble fish or simply doctor fish nibble your skin and eat up dead cells.
My sister Helen took her children all the way from Australia to Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia to try this out. The fish bites don't hurt but leaves a pleasant tingling sensation.
While this is a new craze in the East, fish massage is not new. It has been practiced for more than one hundred years in Kangal, Turkey.
I've never tried this, looks so ticklish. I've seen the fish spa in shopping centres in Malaysia.
ReplyDeleteI'm speechless.

ReplyDeleteI first tried the fish spa in S. Korea, it was so ticklish and we were laughing so hard...lol. But after some getting use to it, it was quite fun.
ReplyDeleteI saw this on TV once! It looks like it would be fun.
ReplyDeleteNever seen such a thing. It would probably tickle my feet and then I would laugh!
ReplyDeleteMay be the laughter is good therapy. LOL
ReplyDeleteIn fact, I know some people who think that laughing is a good therapy. I can't believe that people can laugh spontaneously though. There was a club when I was able to leave Singapore for New Zealand. Now, it has followed me here.
